This expedition motor yacht has been custom designed for an experienced Owner. Developed as a long ranging ocean-going vessel, it can take the Owner and his guests anywhere in the world, and this in total luxury. Safety, comfort and seakeeping were key priorities during the development of this luxury yacht. Equipped with state of the art electronics, business and personal e-communications can take place from even the most remote locations.
Our goal was to design a very serious offshore yacht, capable of traveling anywhere and able to handle a large array of tenders. The yacht is to be built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. She is to be classed to Lloyd's and MCA. The styling features soft subtle curves and large expanses of glass, with definite resemblances to a workboat.
The lower deck guest accommodation, situated forward of the engine room, has a symmetrical layout with two equal very generous owner's staterooms aft and twin guest staterooms forward, all with their en-suite heads. The owner's staterooms have an open sitting area arrangement and walk-through dressing which lead into the heads. There is also a central guest night bar area in the lower deck lobby. A central elevator services all decks, including the sun deck, and is accessible via the funnel.
The main deck includes a formal salon, with discreet wet bar, which can be serviced by the crew without disturbing the guests. A nice feature is the large eat in galley with central island. Dining is located on the 01 deck, and is services by a hidden staircase form the galley to a pantry staging area located amidships.
The lower deck arrangement enables the crew to discreetly make up the staterooms while the owners and guests are on the main deck and also offers the possibility for occasional crew access to and from the forecastle in rough seas.
Comfort and sea keeping effects were also studied with respect to length and beam with the goal of keeping accelerations and motions to a minimum. Tank testing was performed and included flat and rough water testing, with and without appendages
