2698 The Grand Banks 59 Aleutian RP is a product of the legacies of Sparkman & Stephens and Grand Banks, both of which have histories of building yachts of seaworthiness, strength, comfort and safety. The versatile hull design affords the yacht with speed, approaching 28 knots, and economy while maintaining excellent seaworthiness and tracking ability. Like her cousin, the 47 Heritage, the 59 Aleutian possesses deep propeller pockets that keep draft low yet allow large, efficient propellers to be fitted. Also like her cousin, the traditional exterior hides modern construction techniques. The Aleutian line’s signature is the raised pilothouse which encompasses a roomy, light interior with excellent open-plan living and three full staterooms, including a full-beam master. The exterior features a salty Portuguese brow, covered side and aft decks and a large fly bridge. At her introduction to Grand Bank’s dealers, two years of production sold out.
