This design was drawn for an experienced owner who had specific requirements for the next boat. Emphasis has been placed on creating a fast, performance-oriented boat, yet one with comfortable accommodations for the owner's family, including a true pilothouse with raised dinette. In addition, she is designed to be operated by a small crew, with the total design intended to require minimum maintenance.

This is the largest cruising sloop to date for the S&S office. We used fluid dynamic analyses and America's Cup technology to advance the shape of the very large, low aspect ratio keel. The vessel was built by Derecktor Shipyards of Mamaroneck, New York.

We recently had the immense satisfaction of working with a client who knew exactly what he wanted; a handsome yacht that was both strong and seaworthy, while remaining capable of being operated and maintained by himself and his family with a minimum of crew. With a premium placed on reliability, minimum maintenance, and comfort, this aluminum ketch, with a Redman Whiteley interior, has cruised to many ports around the world since her launching at the Vitters Shipyard in the Netherlands

The 57ft yawl, BANDERA, was designed to an exact specification by her owners, with active and efficient world cruising in mind.  Built in 1994 by Hinckley Yachts, this family yacht demonstrates a tremendous combination of stability, comfort and power.  The exterior features a deck layout suitable for sailing and relaxing, as well as alfresco dining for six in her large cockpit.

The interior layout is functional and complete with personal details, such as a blue and white-tiled wood burning stove and oil-burning lanterns mounted on white, raised paneled bulkheads.  The general style is tasteful, clean and traditional, including rich mahogany woodwork, teak soles and marine blue upholstery.

The yacht sleeps six guests in three cabins.
